Pre-Assessments and Gap Analysis

As a dedicated service, we are offering independent pre-assessments or so-called "gap analysis" reviews. A pre-assessment is an external audit of an organization (or scope of certification), which takes place before the real certification audit by a certification body. The pre-assessment can be compared with a "trial" run.

A gap analysis in the implementation process of a management system takes place even before the pre-assessment. This analysis has the objective to identify critical misunderstandings or short-comings in implementation against the requirements of the Standards. This helps the team, which is tasked with implementing the management system in accordance with ISO 27001, to timely react on mistakes made and avoid misinterpretation of Standard requirements.
